Baba Yaga is a staple of witch folklore, and her hut is one of the most identifiable piece of her legend. It's said that she roams the forest with a hut propped on chicken legs and windows like eyes. As a binder and embroidery artist, I really tried to use new and unique designs for Baba Yaga's hut. The Branches swept in front of the eyeless windows as she passes through the woods and red vines grown in a vibrant blood red that drip down her home.
The book itself is handsewn, hammered, cut, sanded, and designed in a medieval style. There are two ribbon place markers that double as the Hut's chicken feet. The book is 9 Inches long and 4 inches wide, and has a page depth of 1 inch. Bound with intention for artist and creatives alike.
